Also mostly hand drawn. A little Flickr search for some Mexican Sugar Skulls and voila, decent pics of skulls to trace and modify. I really like using my old drafting trace from work for overlays and repeated sketching over the main drawing, a I can then scan them in individually and mody ad nauseum without having to worry about being careful.
unvmyset is an electrician, so Copperhead isn’t what you think. We originally talked of having a pair of lineman’s pliers as the main drawn focal point, but it looked too plain and he nixed that pretty quickly. The skull was his next suggestion, which I grabbed pretty quickly. I love drawing skulls. The arcs shooting through the eye holes was my thought. Love it. Full brim hard hat was unvmyset’s request too.
Again, denom issues. I never know what to do with them. Background banner helped.
