52 Circles

A Weekly inlay/shirt design exercise

About 52 Circles

52 weeks in a year. 52 Circles.

1″ inlay designs for old school clay poker chips. I think the brief for all of them would be the following:

  • ASM, BCC or hotstamp design for a TRK blank.
  • 1″ inlay max, which fits some of ASM’s molds and BCC’s sun mold.
  • Illustrator and Photoshop for work.
  • Font choices will be part of it.
  • Investigation of denom positioning and choices.

So 1 design a week, I guess a not so original version of the 52 sketches websites or 365 photo diaries you see on Flickr and elsewhere.

I figure a week’s time should be enough to get sketches past the first step. More of a process/train of thought way of keeping track of how things come out.

EDIT// I will probably have to make an inlay design for ’52 circles’… Funy thing is, the ’5′ and the ’2′ numerals are two of the main ones I usually have to drawn for inlay denoms, after the ’1′ and the ’0′.
